How to Stop a Train in its Tracks

I have heard of people ugly enough to stop a train in its tracks.

However, in Japan there are other ways to accomplish the feat.

A train operator was motoring his machine down the JR Hokuriku line when he noticed out the window a man hanging from a tree.

Not hanging hanging…hanging on, clinging for his life…apparently.jr.hokuriku.jpg

The train operator stopped the train in its tracks, alerted for the man?

the police who sent an ambulance to the scene.

In the end, the man was able to climb up a riverbank and turned out to be uninjured…just wet and the center of possible unwanted attention.

After a 15 minute hiatus…the train went on.

Do you think it was right for the train operator to stop service
