How to lose weight …Japanese style
Japan is known for its healthy diet and equally good looking people…usually.
A show produced by the Kansai Telecasting Corp. (KTV) claimed that people could lose weight if they ate 'natto' for breakfast and dinner daily for two weeks.
Thousands of Japanese rushed to stores to eat the 'sticky fermented soybeans" in hopes of shedding 2-3 lbs…hah, about the most any Japanese would ever need to lose.![]()
Natto is amazing food…you can eat it, swallow it, and it will still be on your plate. My son mixes it with rice in the morning and eats it for breakfast and is in great shape.
His mother…mixes natto with raw egg and rice and has that for breakfast. She's so skinny she has to run around in the shower just to get wet.
If all you did was eat ONLY natto for breakfast and dinner for two weeks, yep, you would lose weight. You'd also be very hungry and what friends you have left would remember that stinky, sticky meal you were eating every day.
KTV finally admitted – "We are extremely sorry that we damaged viewers' trust by producing and broadcasting a programme containing content that was not based on facts."
Natto is healthy – gross, but healthy. And it will not help you lose weight.
Okay..so, how do Japanese lose weight?
Answer: they use only one chopstick.
