Honda Takes on Chinese Bikes in Brazil

Honda Motor Co. introduced the POP100, a 100cc motorbike in Brazil.

With this new bike, Honda hopes to increase its already 80% market share in the rapidly growing Brazilian market.

Honda's best selling motorcycles have been in the 125-150cc range….out of the range for some 22 million Brazilian households.honda.pop100.jpg

Enter China. China with a bike for the masses, under 4,000 real, for lower–income families.

However, Honda's new motorbike will also be sold for under 4,000 reals…and with the Honda name and quality.

Do you think that Honda can underprice China in Brazil?

Can anybody underprice China anywhere?

In my opinion. Honda bikes are unable to take on chinese bikes in Brazil, since most people are lower–income families. Chinese bikes has more advantages than Honda. Will forward this article to bikerkiss forum so that more bikers can discuss it for getting further information.
