Honda Motor Corp. Does Fuel Efficiency

Posted by Bill Belew on October 2nd, 2006 in Japan | No Comments

Honda Motor Co. announced that it will introduce a diesel car within three years that will meet all emission standards including California’s extra strict standards.

Honda also said it would introduce a fuel-cell powered car.

Honda has long been the leader in producing fuel efficient cars. Their diesel is said to be 30% more efficient than any of its gasoline models.

The fuel cell version, if a distribution system can be established, may be the most promising yet.

A 2009 Honda four-cylinder diesel will be the first to meet Environmental Protection agency standards throughout the US and in stricter California.

If anyone can do it first and do it well, Honda can. I’ll bet my Civic on it.

What do you think?

In the early 80’s my parents bought a small Civic hatchback. It’s one of the best cars I’ve ever driven and will still say that today. I think they make great cars.
