Hitachi and GE Forming Nuke Power Joint Venture
Japan’s Hitachi and U.S. based General Electric are planning a joint nuclear power venture.
The two companies have signed a letter of intent for joint tie up on advanced boiling water reactors.
Hitachi will own 80% of the Japan-based venture and 40% of the U.S.-based side. GE will get the rest.
Hitachi and GE expect that some 100 nuclear power plants will be built in the next 20 years…and the two want in on that action.
Nuclear power is big business. China agrees. India agrees.
These two first rate companies are bound to be competitive and produce high quality in nuclear reactors. And nothing short of 100% is acceptable when building a nuke power plant.
