Hitachi Transport Systems and Germany's Adidas AG group have inked a deal for distribution of Reebok brand sports goods and Rockport brand shoes.

Reebok goods made in Asia for the Japanese market will start from a Hitachi Transport distribution center in Chiba Prefecture.

The center will:

1. separate and inspect products

2. fix price tags

3. process returnsrockport.reebok.jpg

Hitachi transport has been distributing Adidas brand products since 1998. Reebok and Rockport mean an increase in business of 10-15%.

Adidas hopes to save money by consolidating its distribution outsourcing and improving the quality of its inspections through Hitachi Transports.

As for me, I just want them to send shoes that are 31cm. All the years I was in Japan, I was NEVER able to buy a pair of shoes that fit me….

I wonder, has it changed?
