Help Wanted – Disneyland is Hiring to Fill 2,000 Jobs
Oriental Land Co. is the operator of Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea.
The company held a large-scale interview Sunday hoping to fill jobs for 2,000 part-time workers at Japan’s most popular and most profitable amusement parks.
There are some 20 different jobs – restaurant workers, guides, security guards and such.
No age nor academic requirements.
Students, housewives, middle-aged and elderly men lined up for jobs at the Magic Kingdom in Chiba.
“I applied because the company I worked for went bankrupt. I want to give it a try working as a security guard, although I have no experience,” a 54-year-old Tokyo man said.
54-year old. Hmm…that’s how old I am.
So, if the economy is so bad, who is going to be going to Disneyland and DisneySea?
