Gulliver Coming to United States

Gulliver International Co. is a used car buyer in Japan.

The company already has two sales sites in the State, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Two more on on the way – another in the LA area, and next year in New York to give it an East Coast presence.

Gulliver has a park-and-sell system – parking spaces are rented to consumers wishing to sell their cars.

The company eventually hopes to have franchise locations in LA, San Francisco and NYC with about 10 sites per region to make it convenient to send vehicle evaluators to customers.gulliver.used.cars.jpg

I was in Japan for about a week when I decided I needed a car. I bought a used Honda accord. About 4 weeks after the purchase, the man who sold it me, Mr. Honda (no relation to the car maker) showed up and asked me how my used car was doing.

Japanese used-car salesmen are definitely different, eh?
