Green Mitsubishi to Build 5 Geothermal Plants in Iceland

I wonder, if Iceland is sitting on so many volcanos, why is it called Iceland?

Iceland gets 87% of its heating and hot water needs from geothermal heating. That's plugging into a volcano for the unintiated.

Mitsubishi will help the country get more by building five more geothermal plants between now and 2012. The first of the give plants will go online in two years.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is teaming up with Reykjavik (Can I buy a vowel) Energy

for this project. Each power plant will generate 45 megawatts.

Before long, they'll be calling the little island Hotland.
