Google Wants to Invade Privacy in Other Languages
Google is already in the hot seat for invading, not invading, wanting to invade, not wanting to invade the privacy of everyone that accesses its site ….and that IS everyone who ever goes online for whatever reason.
Google will take another giant step to getting even more people involved in the debate by offering national YouTube sites in nine countries in the language of those countries.
They are – Brazil, Britain, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and Japan.
Google, er, YouTube, already accepts user-generated videos and comments in any language. The new localized YouTube will offer navigation menus in the local
languages.
"all the better to get more information stored on you….hehehehe!!"
More than half of the users on YouTube come from outside of the United States says Google.
Before long, if not already…Google will
have information on the world.
Question…and then what?
Who or how many and how often and by what means and to what end will someone/s analyze the searches of the 2+ billion people who touch Google hundres if not thousands of times a day?
Can even Google process trillions of bits of info in the many languages of the world and come up with something palatable? And for whom?
My bet, is that at some point, Google is likely to choke on its own quest for more…more…more….
What do you think?

Google and Privacy – should we be concerned?
