Google Street View is heading into Google Maps Singapore! Only a few months back this year, it was launched in Japan.

For those new to Street View, it is a feature of Google Maps that will give users a photographic view of the location they are searching for. Knowing what your destination looks like obviously helps a lot.

But when Google first introduced Street View, the quick minded were able to foresee a controversy that will plague the technology feature. Residents captured on the stills of ‘street view’ protest their loss of privacy. Therefore in an attempt to hush the worries, Google will do their part protect residents’ privacy by blurring faces and license plate numbers before uploading them to Google Maps.
