Good News for Toyota – Ho Hum

Posted by Bill Belew on February 6th, 2007 in Japan | No Comments

Despite sluggish sales in Japan, Toyota Motor Corp is reporting a 7.3% rise in quarterly profits.

Sales were up 15.3%.

Net profit and sales were new Toyota records for ANY quarter.

1. Reliability

2. Fuel-efficient

3. Quality

4. Price

Toyota makes more money than GM and has for a long time. Sometime later this year, maybe next, Toyota will pass GM for the most cars sold, too.

GM produced just 162,000 more vehicles last year than Toyota did.

The big difference between Toyota and GM…is that Toyota will eventually sell as many cars as GM does AND make a profit doing it. GM can't match that.

What do you think?
