GM Doesn’t Get It
General Motors Corp has the world's best carmaker breathing down its neck.
So….the company decides to steering wheels on the right side of its cars and fight back.
Good for GM, right?
Wrong.
GM is putting more steering wheels on the right side of its Cadillac SRX.
The car maker says ths SUV is highly rated in the U.S. and hopes the Japanese will want some of the 3.6 liter gas hog with a price tag of 6.48 million yen.![]()
The top of the line DTS comes standard with chrome wheels (oh, boy! – look at the Japanese dancing naked in the streets.) and goes for 8.75 million.
GM is relying on strong sales figures – 972 Cadillacs were sold in Japan in 200g DOWN 17% from 2005.
Japan does NOT want big fat gas hogging machines that will not fit on her roads. Sure, some fools will buy them…but is it worth the cost to redesign the machines so they can have right side steering wheels.
I can't imagine so.
What do you think?
