Global Warming Going Nuts in Japan

The Japanese are surely believing in Global Warming these days.

A heat wave sent temperatures soaring to a 74 year high of 40.9C (105.8F) in Kumagaya, Saitama and Tajimi, Gifu.

The previous record was 40.8C on July 25th, 1933.

Two lives have already been claimed because of the

What I want to know is, if global warming is causing this heat wave, what caused the high temps in pre-industrialized Japan in 1933?
