German Study – Japan 7 – Europe 3 in Green Cars
The VCD, or Verkehrsclub Deutschland, wants to be an environmentally-minded alternative to Germany's main automobile club, ADAC, not to be confused with AC-DC.
The VCD published a study – Japanese cars are the most environmentally friendly.
France has two – the Citroen and Peugeot.
Germany has one – the Volkswagen Polo Blue Motion.
The other seven among the top ten – Daihatsu, Honda, Mazda and T
oyota all scored the best in fuel consumption and exhaust emissions tests as well
as were among the quietest.
Even Japanese carmakers' rivals recognize their superiority.
Which carmaker/country will be the next to seriously challenge Japanese quality?
And, how long will it take to get there?
