German Study – Japan 7 – Europe 3 in Green Cars

The VCD, or Verkehrsclub Deutschland, wants to be an environmentally-minded alternative to Germany's main automobile club, ADAC, not to be confused with AC-DC.

The VCD published a study – Japanese cars are the most environmentally friendly.

France has two – the Citroen and Peugeot.

Germany has one – the Volkswagen Polo Blue Motion.

The other seven among the top ten – Daihatsu, Honda, Mazda and T

oyota all scored the best in fuel consumption and exhaust emissions tests as wellvw.polo.blue.motion.jpg as were among the quietest.

Even Japanese carmakers' rivals recognize their superiority.

Which carmaker/country will be the next to seriously challenge Japanese quality?

And, how long will it take to get there?
