Sony BMG and FIFA have been in cohoots since 1994 when the first official FIFA World Cup Song was released in 1994.

14 years later, the governing body of football and its Partner Sony are still at it.

This time the song "You are teh most beautiful in the whole world" produced by Chinese celebrity Jonathan Lee, launched on April 22, 2007 during live TV on CCTV will be sung by a Chinese newcomer, artist Gang Chen.

It will be performed live during the Opening Ceremony of the 5th edition of the women's biggest football competition on September 10th..

Official songs are "an important component for the promotion of a tournament as they create strong emotional links among the players & fans and “tunes them in” to the event," says FIFA.

And Sony is happy to help out.

However, once those emotional links are established…all bets are off until one of the 16 teams emerges as best in the world.
