Ex-Fuji Announcer, Uchida Kyoko Wears Shiseido
So, where do female TV announcers go after they leave network TV?
Uchida Kyoko is heading for the TV commercial section to appear in a Japan’s commerical giant Shiseido’d hair brand "Tsubaki" commercial.
Shiseido has two versions - a fall "Thank you, office ladies" version. Uchida will make an appearance as the last female worker in a lineup as well as do narration.
A second fall version of the same ad "Thank you, actresses," will feature 12 celebrities: Uehara Takako, Takeuchi, Yuko, Tanaka Rena, Nakama Yukie, Hirosue, Ryoko, Mizuki Arisa, Aizawa Sayo, Arakawa Shizuka, Karina, Kuroki Meisa, Fukishi Kazue and Mori Izumi.
In that version Uchida will do only the narration.
Japan’s "Tsubaki" brand has sold well under the theme "Thank you, Japanese ladies."
Shiseido will soon be able to say to the popular TV announcer, "Thank you, Uchida."
