Japan's space agency has taken some high definition images of the earth rising from its Kaguya Probe which is currently hanging around the moon.

Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) "successfully performed the world's first high-definition image of an earthrise".

Craters on the moon, Australia, Antarctica are all visible.

Kaguya took the images some 100km above the moon's surface.

Japan's Kaguya probe cost nearly a half billion dollars.

It had better be able to take good pictures.

Seriously, great pix, no?
