Disney Will Launch Cell Phone Service in Japan
Walt Disney Company will launch a cell phone service in Japan next spring by leasing telecommunications networks from Softbank Mobile Corp.
Disney and Softbank will also develop and codesign handsets to be sold at Softbank's 2,400 mobile outlets.
Disney plans for its distinction to be its handsets and to offer its animated films for downloading exclusively to subscribers.
That means I can watch Lion King, again, on a 2" screen, while riding to work each morning.
Boy, doesn't that sound like fun?
