Denso Corp.

Denso Corporation is the clear leader in car part supplies.

It helps that Denso supplies Toyota, soon to be number one car maker in the world. Last year Denso sold more than $5.9 billion worth of parts and posted earnings of $1.5 billion.

Gee, could they maybe not make so much money by charging Toyota less so the price of their cars could go down?

All three Detroit automakers buy parts from Denso:

1. heaters

2. air conditioners

3. fuel injection systems

4. and more….

Businessweek reports that sales to GM have doubled and 40% of its North American business goes to non-Japanese auto makers.

The reasons why this part manufacturer is taking serious market share are simple.

1. timely delivery

2. quality

3. warranty costs

In short – Japanese companies do it better.
