Crimes Down for 5th Straight Year

The number of reported crimes are down 7%, the fifth year in a row of decline for Japan.

The number of reported crimes stands at 1,761,993 for the first 11 months of the year.

The arrest rate – 32.7%, up, 0.7%.

So, let me get this straight, two out of three crimes in Japan are successful?!

Gun murders grew by nearly 70%.

The number of criminals 65 or older grew by 4.5%…usually shoplifting (50+%).

Old farts also liked to assault others (1,705) or inflict bodily injury (1,038).

More old people means more crimes by the elderly I guess.

You would think they would tire out, but I guess not.

Have you ever been the victim of an unsolved crime?
