Blogging Japanese Politicians

Japanese politicians are prohibited by law from using the Internet to campaign.

However, it seems that ban may be lifted in the near future.

Some companies in Japan are planning to offer blogging and online video distribution services to the country's politicians.

Besides blogs and boring videos of double speak, policitians will be able to put polls on their blog…not that it would make any difference.blogger.jpg

Readers will also be able to do a keyword search to find out which politician is saying what about the subject.

I can't imagine, however, that a politician would want to leave a record of anything that s/he is surely going to change their mind about if for some reason things don't go as they plan.

Would a policitian really want a blog, a video?

Do they pay attention to poll results or just do as they please and say their opinion is that of their constiuents instead of the other way around.

Can't imagine too may politicians would line up for this service?

what do you think?
