Best Selling Female Author, Shoko Tendo, Shows Off Full Body Tattoo

At an interview with Reuters in Tokyo, the 39-year old author of the memoir which just came out in English showed off her tattoos.
The writer says - police efforts to eradicate the yakuza have just made them more difficult to track.
Perhaps…but not when they are in the hot springs.
When I was in Japan, hanging out at the hot springs with my friends, nothing made the Japanese scurry about more, with towels strategically placed, than seeing someone come in with tattoos all over their body.
And, Sanjo, Niigata, where I lived was considered a stronghold of the Yakuza for the ‘backside’ of Japan region.
