Beer Breweries Brawl in Japan

Kirin Brewery has not introduced a new beer since his newest bunch of drinkers were born – abt 17 years.

However, Kirin is planning to brew up a new major regular beer in 2007.

Asahi Breweries Ltd is Japan's top in domestic beer sales with regular beer, low-malt and no-malt beers.

Kirin hopes its new beer "The Gold" will gain ground in the regular beer halls.

Asahi's sales declined 3.1% in 2006 to 187.4 million cases. Kirin sales improved by 4.8% to 187.1 million.

The difference is about one round on the final day of a sumo tournament.

The Gold will hit the market on March 20th.

Kirin's Ichiban Shibori is popular for the 30-40 somethings. Lager is favored by the 50-60-year olds. The Gold will go after the young adults and women.

Question: Why does beer go through the body so quickly?

Answer: The beer doesn't have to take time to change color before it passes out of the body.
