Ax Murders Run Amuck in Japan

I don't know what's up with Japan these days….kids wielding axes, anime stories with axes as I wrote in Real Ax Killing Prevents Screening of Anime with Ax Scene.

A 15-year old boy was arrested for going after his dad with an ax and leaving his father with severe head injuries.

The boy has been charged with attempted murder.

The boy attacked his father at about 2 am while his 44-year old father was sleeping!

Good golly.

Do parents need to put a lock on their bedroom doors to keep themselves protected from their kids now?

Why or how is it that a father and a boy can become so detached from one another that the kid would want to whack his father to pieces while he is asleep?

And didn't the father see something like this coming?
