Anti-aging Skincare Products in Japan

Middle aged women in Japan are smearing on skincare cosmetics that are anti-aging or a remedy for wrinkles and spots.

The women don't seem to be too concerned about the price and prefer counseling come with it.

Y10,500 ($100) for a bottle of lotion is not too expensive.

Isetan has seen a 7% rise this year in total cosmetics sales.

The driving force…high-end skincare products boasting anti-aging effects.

The upscale cream, La Creme goes for a whopping Y52,500 ($500)! Put that on my shopping list of things I will NOT buy.anti-aging.skincare.jpg

Lancome sales are up 20-30%.

Kao is selling is 70% more of its  Est Lift Support Deep Effector essence which decreases wrinkles in the eye area and sagging around the mouth.

Salses of skincare products in Japan are leveling off. Sales of emulsions are growing by nearly 8%. Essences sale grew 3.3%.

Japan's aging population might have something to do with increased sales, no?
