Anime to Go

A Japanese publisher plans to launch the country's first digital subscription of an online comic that gets transmitted directly to mobile phones.

Every month about 200 pages of anime will be geared toward cell phones so tech-savvy, comic-book-crazy Japanese will not lose touch with their favorite ultra-cute hero.

It's only in Japanese for now. But, take heart, English and Chinese versions are just around the corner.

Gee, I wonder if I can receive mine on a satellite phone.

The subscription is 350 yen/month.

Japanese can already read novels on their cell phones. Can batteries last that long?

Now, in addition to the novel, email, news headlines and weather forecasts….animation!

Now, I really want to move back to Japan.

Who is your favorte anime character in Japan?
