Anime, Manga and Cosplay Head to China

Manga is big stuff in Japan and Japanese anime is second to none.

The Japanese have even gone a bit farther, some would say too far, by creating Cosplay – Costume Play – where fans, sometimes stars, dress up in costume like the main characters in a manga or anime series.

It must be a lot of fun….so much so that China has picked up on the craze, or at least one restaurant in Tianjin has…..the Kevedo Restaurant.

It claims to be the first comics-themed restaurant in China. It serves mainly western food but has attracted a great number of anime fanatics.

Cosplay shows, interactive games and access to video games are

part of the appeal.

I wonder…has Ello Bello caught on there yet?

Okacosplay.china.jpgy…too early for that.
