The 'baby hatch' in Japan received its third unwanted newborn…the third since the controversial plan was opened on May 10th.
Advocates are calling the system a last resort and opponents are calling it the easy way out for parents wanting to abandon their kids.
On the first day of operation, the baby hatch got a boy, 3-4 years old.

The hatch is designed so children can be dropped off anonymously.
There is also a sign asking the parents to contact hospital staff if they change their minds.
An incubator is also standing by.
The babies will be adopted or sent to nursing homes.
