Alibaba Gives Back to Softbank, Japan
Alibaba is giving back to Softbank Japan.
The Japanese telecommunications giant owns a 33% stake in Alibaba of China, the eBay of China.
Alibaba has been wanting to make inroads into Japan.
Hah! A joint venture of Alibaba and Softbank perhaps?
Indeed.
Softbank has announced that Alibaba.com will give the company a Y55 billion ($507 million) profit boost from the flotation of the Chinese website.
With that much money to play around, and then some, will next year be when the two finally form a JV and Alibaba gets its foot in the Japanese market door?
Next year is not far away at all, and there are 365 days to play with.
Do you think Alibaba can succeed in Japan?
