Miura climbed the mountain a few days after China delivered the Olympic torch to the peak. Not deterred by delay…I mean, he had waited 75 years, what's another day, right?
Despite being an adventurer and a skier the man with a heart condition since childhood knew what to expect while climbing the world's tallest peak. So, he underwent very rigorous training schedule and did the Caleb thing. 75 is the new 40 for this young fellow.
Still, he is the second oldest person ever to climb Everest.
Just one day earlier Nepalese, Min Bahadur Sherchan managed to do it. Sherchan is 76-years old to be 77 years old soon.
Okay, where's those stairs again?
