The Chiyoda Municipal Government spent 90,000,000 yen to build a public restroom in Akihabara, Japan’s famous electronics district.

The single story luxury facility is 160 square meters (1,700 square feet) in size.

Users can pee in a sparkling pot, sit (as opposed to squat) on a heated commode equipped with a washer.japanese toilet.jpg

There are even cubbies for smokers.

The walls have touch tone panels for…not that…propaganda about Akihabara and its stores.

Both men and women’s toilets (men use the place at about 2-to-1 pace) have an attendant who work three daily shifts to meet all needs.

The price for powdering your nose or seeing a man about a dog in this emmaculate out house is 100 yen (80cents).

Let’s see, 90 million yen divided by 100 yen = 900,000 trips to the john before the local goverment gets its money back.

That’s a lot of s…
