7,500+ Blog Posts and Counting

Posted by Bill Belew on August 30th, 2010 in Japan | Comments Off

In 21 months, I have at the three blogs I maintain for KnowMoreMedia written 7,500 blog posts.

The three blogs I write are TheBizOfKnowledge, at PanAsianBiz and at RisingSunOfNihon.

So what?

1. I have had 2.75 million unique visitors.

2. They have read 4.75 million pages.

3. I am blessed with some 1300 RSS readers…mostly at PAB.

4. I also pay my mortgage blogging.

Wouldn't you like to pay your mortgage by writing in your garage?

75-80% of the visitors come from a search engine.

Google sends me about 2/3 of all traffic. That's why Google can set the standards for advertising, rates and such….like it or not.

15-18% of visitors are referral. I have my blogs interlinked pretty well for the more popular posts.

The rest are direct traffic.

I have another blog, kind of off-the-wall, like me I suppose, at Wispid – the Wisdom we gain from the stupid things we and others do.

If you are interested in what else I think about besides Japan, Asia and Education, it's there.

Thank you all very sincerely for reading.

Next milestone – 5,000,000 page views.

What are you doing with your blog?
