Japan turns out lots of good swimmers. Men like Kosuke Nakajima, who holds the world record in the 100- and 200-breast. I have swum against some of their Olympians when they were still club swimmers.

The rest of the world has some good swimmers, too.

Leisel Jones is one of them.

-Leisel Jones is 22 years old and is from Northern Territory, Australia

-She will be competing in the 100, and 200 breaststroke in the Olympics

-Jones currently holds the world record in both breaststroke events

-Jones first broke the world record in the 100 held by one of the greatest female breaststroker in history, Penny Heyns (South Africa) when she was 17 years old

-Heyns was an untouchable swimmer in the 90s and her world record was also untouchable. Jones broke her record at 17 which made her the next dominating female breaststroker of this decade.

-However Jones has not won an individual Olympic Gold yet. 15 year old Jones won the silver in the 100 in year 2000. However, she lost in the 04 Olympics in both events although she was the one of the favorites in the 200 and world record holder in the 100.

-Jones has been dominating this event for the past couple of years. She is also adding it to the great Aussie female medley relay that will be very very tough for any country to beat.
