7 Reasons Why the Japanese May be Able to Purchase the F-22 Raptors
Lockheed Martin Corp.'s radar-evading F-22 Raptor, is America's best…the highest end of technology and its NOT FOR SALE….yet.
Japan may be able to get its hands on it IF:
1. Japan can come up with enough money…everything is for sale…it's a matter of how much they will pay.
2. The U.S. is committed to the defense of Japan. Japan could probably take care of itself but ….
3. There is concern about both missile and cruise missile defense in the area.
4. Japan might be willing to fund development of a newer version of the aircraft that would be more than a bomber. ![]()
5. A decade old ban on overseas sales of the fighter is lifted…what this means is that a ban is nothing, since it can be lifted at will.
6. Bush stays around long enough to strike a deal - the Commander in Chief is "very positively disposed" to the idea.
7. America is already working on the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter…due out in 2015. By then, the price for the F-22s will be too cheap.
Do you think Japan should be able to have F-22 Raptors?
