7 Million Baby Boomers – $400-500 million in payouts – Ready to Retire

There are 7 million baby boomers in Japan with 45-60 trillion yen in retirement payouts about to leave the workforce.

Everybody wants a piece of that action.

One city in Japan is developing a Showa ('50s) Era-themed residential complex – old fashioned restaurants, candy stores, public baths….

A former record company employee is offering training camps for people who played musical instruments when they were younger – guitar lessons,baby.boomer.jpg drumming….600 people have already spent 39,800 yen for the three day, two night camp in three years.

Better Home Association has been offering cooking courses for 60+ year olds with near capacity enrollment of all 80 classes nationwide – "Now! She is going to learn to cook!"

Travel agencies are offering 2-week to 6-month overseas vacations…

Plans are in the works to help the new 50s spend their retirement funds and savings….
