It’s Friday. Just today I have found a dozen ways to know Japan is in a recession. I am sure I could find more, I just don’t want to look.

1. Sony is shutting down its magnetic tape factory in France.

2. Honda has pulled out of F1.

3. Toyota’s second plant in Canada limits its output to 50%.

4. Imports of foreign cars drops to 20-year low.

5. Prices of imported fruit juices are expected to fall in ’09.

But then again, some don’t mind the deflation thing.

Steelmakers are enjoying the collapse of raw material prices.

The service industry is slashing prices.

Win some, lose some.
