6 Problems With Japan’s Nuclear Power Plant Exposed by Earthquake

Kashiwazaki Kariwa is the world's largest nuclear plant in terms of power output capacity.

It also got rattled around pretty well during this past weekend's earthquake.

Some serious weaknesses in the nuclear power alternative were exposed –

1. The alert was raised too late. 

2. The power plant suffered burst pipes.

4. There was radioactive spillage.
