2009 Suzuki Grand Vitara – Another Reason Why I Blog

So, why stick to the blogging thing? Huh? Got a good reason?

I do. And, it’s not always about the money.

Can you say – 2009 Suzuki Grand Vitara? Yup, I am driving a 2009 Suzuki Grand Vitara this week. Yeah, a 2009. It has about 780 miles on it. I think I am the third person to drive this car.

Networking, networking….I made a friend through a blog network that I wrote for before coming to b5. This friend did car reviews. Car dealers brought cars to him every week to drive for a week and then write a review. I asked, he answered and I started jumping through hoops. It’s now about 6 months beyond our first exchange and I have already driven some $300k worth of cars in the past two months, among them a $97K Jaguar 2008 Super V-8.

Chomp, chomp, chomp….I can hear someone/s eating their heart out.

So, this week, it’s a 2009 Suzuki Vitara. Next week I’ll drive a 2009 Chevy Aveo. The next week it’s a Pontiac G8….You get the idea.

There are perks that come with blogging for the duration…for having some longevity. Traffic helps, too. But, for me, today at least, it’s about the network I have built and the good things that have come of it, and now being part of b5.

Oh, and did I say I have a Media Credential hanging around my neck and that I am sitting in the press tent at the Samsung LPGA World Championships? A day or ago I met Lorena Ochoa, Annika Sorenstam and…in a few minutes I am out the door to watch J-Yai Shin of Korea try to take the world number one away from Ochoa? Yeah, the network takes you places if you stick to it long enough.
