There are perks for veterans who served in the military. I spent almost 5 years serving Uncle Sam, more than half of that time in Japan.

The perks -

Free Entrance To National Parks – “On November 11, 2008, all members of the U.S. armed forces, military veterans, and their families will be admitted to National Parks and public lands managed by the government free of charge.”

Find a national park.

Free Golden Corral Dinner – The 2008 Military Appreciation Monday dinner will be held on Monday, November 17, 2008 from 5 pm to 9 pm in all Golden Corral Restaurants.

Find a location for your free “thank you” dinner. It is available to any person who has ever served in the United States Military.
