113-year old takes over as olderst person in Japan
Yesterday, Japan's oldest person and the oldest in the world died.
Yone Mingawa was 114-years old.
She was replaced by 113-year old Shitsu Nakano from Ogori in Fukuoka as the oldest person in Japan.
Tomoji Tanabe from Miyakonojo, Miyazaki (I went through there once on my bicycle when the man was about 100 years old…didn't get invited in) is 111-years old.
Imagine, living to be 111 and still having to call someone else your older sister.
Meanwhile Americans are living shorter lives than people in 41 other countries…down from 11th, twenty years ago.
