10 Reasons To NOT Buy a Sony PS3
Early this morning in New York, people started plugging themselves into Sony’s new PS3.
There must be a reason that has something to do with a huge generation gap or two that escapes me that would cause people to buy this overpriced toy.
I can think of 10 reasons to NOT buy it.
1. Who wants to camp outside a toy store on a sidewalk in a metropolitan area for days and still NOT know if you could buy the box? New York City![]()
2. Who wants to be associated with other nerds who would CHEER because someone beat them to the counter. Well, geeks can’t run, so they have to cheer for others I guess.
3. Who wants to spend months working whatever job to save up money to buy the PS3 and be turned away.
4. Who wants to shell out $500-600 for a toy!? Everywhere.
5. Who wants to play live action figure and fight with a rowdy bunch at a super Wal-mart just to get turned away anyhow? Palmdale, CA
6. Who wants to wear a wristband saying "I’m gonna get my PS3?" – San Francisco
7. Who wants their name in a ‘sacred scroll’ so they can go to the pot, not smoke pot, and still get their machine? San Francisco
8. Who wants to spend the night in the freezing cold? Fargo, ND
9. Who wants to spend the night in heavy rain and freezing winds? Baltimore, MD
10. And who, for goodness sake would want to do any of the above and then resell their $500 toy for a profit of $1000 – $3000 within a month? Wait…that’s not a reason to not buy it. Excuse me..I am going to get in line.
Sony dominates the game market with 70% share…and no doubt was quite anxioud to get their product out before Sunday when Nintendo’s Wii goes on sale for half the price.
I’m not buying a PS3. Not now, not ever.
