10 More Industries Aim to Reduce Greenhouse Gases

Next year, parties to the Kyoto Protocol are supposed to cut greenhouse gas.

So far, 60 industry organizations which belong to Japan's largest business organization, Keidanren, are participating. Of those, 35 have set numerical targets.

Ten more organizations have decided to participate in the project…with a little egging on from the national government.

Among them are:

1, Japan Newspaper Publishers and Editors Association

2. Japan Medical Associationgreenhouse.gases.jpg

3. Federation of All Japan Private Schools' Associations

4. Japan Information Service Industry Association

5. Japan Leasing Association.

6.  National Association of Commercial Broadcasters

The publishers and editors will set numerical targets.

Already, 21 industrial sectors have reached their goals. For their efforts, Tokyo is asking them to raise their targets.

That's what they get for trying hard, eh?

Have you ever busted your butt to accomplish something while those around you slacked off, only to be 'rewarded' by being asked to do MORE?
