Submitted by Bill Belew on Friday, 23 November 2007No Comment

Honda Motor Co. will being exporting SUVs made at its Mexican plant to Brazil and Argentina early next year.

After that, Honda wants to make its Mexican plant an export base of CR-V SUV shipments to North America.

"By taking advantage of the location of our Mexican plant, situated between North and South America, we aim to lift supply to both markets," says Honda's prez.

The plant has already rolled out 200,000 vehicles.

Honda first manufactured its Accord passenger vehicles in 1995. In September of this year, however, production was switched to the popular CR-V and annualhonda.mexico.jpg capacity was lifted from 30,000 to 50,000.

The Mexican market is also a target, hoping sales in Mexico will climb 10% or more from the 55,000 units this year.

I drive a CR-V. What do you drive?
