Light weight netbooks have been just launched in the market to the VAIO X series.
Sony VAIO X series netbooks are very slim, extremely lightweight and and the design is very portable, the aim of the company is to give the Apple MacBook Air some competition.

I really suggest to look for some other option against any model of sony vaio, If you really wish to have a thin notebook then a good one could be macbook, however hp is soon to launch a ultrathin one, The major and biggest problem and drawback with sony notebook is the battery life..
