British And American Citizens Residing Illegally In India May Pose Threat To National Security
There are many Pakistani and Bangladeshi people living in India illegally, they may pose threat to the country in some way or another, but there are many first world tourists who are staying in the country illegally, and for some reason they can be a threat to national security. The arrest of David Headley an American citizen who turned into an LeT Jihadi is well worth example to think about.
In the past few years, the nation’s police have booked many foreigners from 45 countries living in India illegally. The Union Home Ministry, has provided information, that 65,149 foreigners are living in the country in the year 2008, after their visa’s have been expired. Some 13,995 had been deported in the same year. What is shocking that some thousand foreigners belonging to the first world are also residing in India, which include people from US,UK, South Korea and 649 Chinese.
The Intelligence told the Times of India, stating that all of these foreigners are not necessarily to be innocent, but could pose a threat of a different level, something what Headly has defined. He stated, that it has been done from a long time that tourists and people from the developed and friendly countries have not been under the scanner or monitored, as of this reason, terrorist agencies are looking of recruiting people from these countries to do the job, David Headly is one strong example.
