Nissan’s Aerial View Technology

Nissan still can't compete with Toyota and Honda when it comes to fuel-efficiency…but the carmaker does keep coming out with innovative ideas to make driving easier and safer.

Nissan has a new aerial view technology that makes parking easier.

The little camera gives a panoramic bird's eye view of what's surrounding a car….a first in Japan.

The view is displayed on the dashboard.

In the U.S. the option will be available on the Infiniti EX35 luxury model for a price TBD.

The Elgrand minivan in Japan will also get it.

Toyota has a technology where the car parks itself, withOUT the help of the driver.avm.nissan.jpg

However, Nissan's gizmo will give a split screen, switch from back to front, beep if a driver gets too close and make coffee if you program it to.

I think it would be cheaper if a driver just learned to park their car.

What do you think?
