Yu Darvish announces separation from wife through agency

Japanese starting pitcher for the Texas Rangers Yu Darvish, has recently announced that he has divorced his wife Saeko. Darvish, who has recently signed a $60 million contract with Texas Rangers, announced about his separation through his management agency.

Saeko and Darvish sent faxes to the media outlets through the agency and announced that they have submitted their divorce papers to a ward office in Tokyo in January 19, 2012. Reports have said that the 25 year old actress will gain the custody of their two children.

Saeko and Darvish, both aged 25, got married in November 2007. The couple says that the reason for their separation is their children so that they can be raised in a more healthier and peaceful environment.

The couple added that it will also be good for their respective careers. The details of the alimony payment have not been disclosed and were decided by mutual consent under the guidance of a legal representative following court guidance.
