Steven Ma to break contract with TVB in March

Hong Kong based actor and singer Steven Ma after months of speculations of his relationship with broadcaster TVB, Virginia Lok, one of the senior officials announced on January 17, 2012 that the actor will be leaving the company. It was also confirmed that the actor will be leaving the broadcasting company in the month of March 2012.

The official added that the actor had expressed on Tuesday that he wanted to terminate his contract as soon as possible. Lok also said that the contract of the actor will be completing in the month of May but has requested to end it in the month of March.

The details of the contract will then be left to the lawyers. Earlier , Ma had expressed his unhappiness that he wasn’t allowed to shoot for ‘The Legend of the Yuan Dynasty Founder’, which is a large scale drama series in China. If Ma would have been a part of it then it would have given the actor a good boost in his career.

Steven said that he was frustrated with the company and made him feel insecure. Ma even said that he could not even see how he could have developed his career further with the company.
