Shaniya Davis’ father Bradley Lockhart in an interview with Oprah

Bradley Lockhart, Shaniya Davis’ father was on Oprah Friday, speaking about the death of his five year old daughter; her cause of death has been determined as asphyxiation. Bradley Lockhart was visibly upset today during his interview on The Oprah Show, and his sister who watched Shaniya most of the time joined in the interview.
Bradley Lockhart said that people from around the world have reached out to his family to express their deep sympathy. He said that what happens to the person who committed this crime is not up to him, but the justice system. See the video below of Bradley Lockhart’s interview on the Today Show.
In a press conference Thursday evening, police stated that preliminary autopsy results found that Shaniya Davis was raped before she died, and the cause of death was strangulation. Shaniya Davis is the 5 year old girl who went missing November 10 and whose body was found Monday. The police stated that testing is still being completed and a final report has not been issued in the death of Shaniya Davis.
A hotel surveillance video identified Mario Andrette McNeill as the man who kidnapped Shaniya. She was last seen being carried by McNeill into a hotel room. McNeill, 29 had been charged with first degree kidnapping, but will now be charged with first degree murder and first degree rape of a child. Human trafficking is a growing problem around the country, including Utah. It is one of the top three most profitable hidden industries. The Utah Human Trafficking task force includes two agencies that are funded through the US Dept of Justice. They support efforts to investigate and prosecute cases, and help victims, according to the FBI office in Salt Lake City.

Bradley Lockhart seemed very upset during his interview with Oprah, his sister also joined and spoke in the interview.
Shaniya Davis went missing on November 10 and her body was found on November 16th.
One day before at a press conference, the police said that the preliminary autopsy results found that Shaniya Davis was raped before she died, and the autopsy results also said that the cause of death was strangulation. The final report is still not made and revealed as yet.
The videos recorded by the hotel security system identified the man as Mario Andrette McNeill who is responsible for the kidnapping of Shaniya Davis.
The last video footage of Shaniya Davis was seen when she was carried by Mario McNeill.
The charges on Mario Andrette McNeill now are, first degree kidnapping, he is further charged with first degree murder and first degree rape as well of a child.
The mother of Shaniya Davis, Antoinette Nicole Davis aged 25, has also been charged with human trafficking.
